Responsible gaming

Poker should be something you choose, at stakes you can afford, for as long as it stays enjoyable. These tools are built into your account and enforced by the server, not by the client, so they cannot be bypassed by a different device.

Tools you control

Deposit limits. Set a daily, weekly or monthly cap on deposits. Lowering a limit takes effect immediately. Raising one takes effect after a 24-hour cooling-off period.

Loss limits. Cap your net losses over a day, week or month. When you reach it you are sat out and cannot buy in until the period resets.

Session limits. Set a maximum session length. When it expires you are sat out and cannot take a seat again until the period resets.

Reality checks. Every hour of play the table shows how long you have played and your net result for the session, and asks whether you want to continue.

Time-out. Lock your account for 24 hours, 7 days or 30 days. It cannot be lifted early.

Self-exclusion. Exclude yourself for 6 months or 1 year. A time-out or self-exclusion you take applies to every account on the Riverline network that has confirmed the same email address as yours, in whichever operator room it was opened, and to any such account opened later. An account in another room that has no confirmed address, or a different one, cannot be linked to you automatically: take the same step there too, or write to us through the Help page naming it. It cannot be reversed before it expires by you, by support, or by anyone else: there is no code path that allows it. A balance left in the account is not forfeited. Write to us through the Help page and it is paid out to a verified address after the usual checks.

All of these are on your account page under Limits, in the panel headed Limits and breaks.

Signs to watch for

  • Spending more than you planned.
  • Chasing losses.
  • Playing to escape a bad mood.
  • Hiding your play from people close to you.
  • Borrowing money to play.

If any of these sound familiar, set a limit today. You can always raise it later, after the cooling-off period.

Protecting minors

You must be 18 or older, or the legal age where you live if that is higher. Keep your password private, sign out on a shared device, and use the blocking software listed under Help below: Gamban, BetBlocker and Gamblock all block gambling sites across a whole device, including a child's.

If you would like us to close your account, ask through the Help page, from the email registered to your account. Choose Responsible gaming as the topic. If you want the account closed at once rather than after a conversation, set a self-exclusion first: it takes effect the moment you confirm it.

Rules and availability may vary by operator and jurisdiction. The terms shown by your operator govern your account.
